Simon likes to make things happen.

 

With more than 25 years of site, design and project management experience in architecture, construction and civil engineering he brings a unique perspective to building projects of all sizes, and likes nothing better than to use that hard won experience to make sure our clients' ambitions and aspirations for their projects are achieved.

 

After ten years on site as a contractor and in site supervision on major road, bridge, tunnelling and water industry projects, and a further fifteen years in design and project management in both engineering and architecture Simon understands the complex dynamics of multi-disciplinary design teams, and the nuanced decision processes involved in choosing the right procurement path and the right contractors in order to achieve exceptional quality on time and on budget..

 

His roles at DESIGN_NORTH include client liaison,designer, project manager, design manager, principal designer and contract administrator, with a proven track record in all aspects of assembling and managing  project delivery teams and driving the design and delivery of major projects.

 

Amongst many other projects, in 2016 Simon led MBMA’s delivery of the £2.75M Parkside building for Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust, and the £1M refurbishment of North Notts College's Carlton Road Façade project, both delivered on time and on budget.
