Scott has an excellent track record in many key areas of healthcare design both in research and in design for child and adolescent mental health in-patient facilities, Dementia, Extra Care and Acute sites.


He was the interior designer for Ferndene, the National Child and Adolescent Mental Health unit in Prudhoe which achieved awards from Building Better Healthcare for best Patient Environment and was awarded best World Innovation and Budget by the Society of British and International Design. Scott established Design Hound  in 2016 and joined DESIGN_NORTH in January 2017.

Scott has more than ten years experience in Medical and Care interior design and is extremely passionate about engaging with each project user group to ensure designs meet every exacting requirement for patient, visitors and staff demanded by these environments. 

Scott is actively involved in research and development of healthcare products and design protocols with a number of international manufacturers, helping to ensure that supply chains and contractors are able to meet the needs of healthcare organisations, NHS Trusts, and their end users.

As a member of the Society of British Interior Design Healthcare Advisory Council, he has contributed to the development of other design professionals in this field.
