The Grand Coffee Shop

The existing coffee shop is located on the perimeter of Newcastle University campus. It is located in a Grade II listed building, a former Victorian hotel on Barras Bridge.
The café needed an upgrade to widen its appeal to a more demanding student cohort and attract passing trade from nearby businesses. The design concept creates a much more welcoming feel, with a modern twist on a Victorian coffee shop.
