Jacqui loves to engage with clients and end users to ensure everyone has a voice and to develop solutions that are ‘owned’, and she excels at guiding clients though the design process to enable them to make informed decisions. Equally experienced on new build and refurbishment projects Jacqui is always driven by functionality and spatial relationships, which then inform the design vision and the architecture, the key to our 'inside out' design philosophy that ensures every space we work on is optimised to meet the needs of the users from the very beginning.

Jacqui recently delivered Parkside Mental Health Resource Centre, for Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust where she developed the brief and the interior design package. The new building has allowed the client to bring together four key mental health services into one attractive, light and functional building, to dispose of inefficient estate, and to realise considerable savings against future operational costs.

Bringing the services together into one highly functional space has enabled them to more efficiently and more intuitively work together in providing mental health support to the community.

Alongside this project Jacqui has developed, in collaboration with the same client, their Service Improvement Space Utilisation Project (SISUP). Working with teams across the Trust Jacqui developed new agile ways of working, and designed and delivered refurbishment projects that have transformed a number of the client's poorly performing assets into beautiful and efficient spaces that support, enable, and make sustainable those new ways of working.

The SISUP project has delivered space savings of 20% and consequent overall ongoing estate cost savings of 50%.
